Karen Mills gave an engaging and inspiring presentation at our March PIM on
“How to leverage other people’s time & other people’s property to build a valuable asset”
Karen, a property professional since 1988, is currently serving on the Qualifications Board for NAEA (The National Association of Estate Agents) as well as being the Executive Director of Concentric Sales and Lettings – a national franchise operation.
She is also the co-founder of The Elite Room where she helps others build their own authority within their chosen market using on line cutting edge marketing strategies.
Karen has been in Estate Agency since the 80’s and has sold millions of pounds worth of property in her time, She previously worked for large national estate agency chains and throughout her career was promoted to area manager for a multi-national company.
Her focus has been in the lettings industry, including setting up and running a successful lettings branch. Karen was also involved in the sale of over £360 million worth of property, besides running a professional team who managed over 800 Buy-To-Let properties.
Back in September 2008, Karen’s wealth of knowledge in the property and lettings sector, coupled with her passion for customer service, sales and business development, was recognised by Lawsons Lettings in Wolverhampton, who approached Karen to persuade her to join their growing lettings organisation.
Karen Mills is now executive director at Concentric Property Franchise, renowned for its cutting edge marketing techniques, removing advertising costs completely from its networks budgets as a result. The franchise now has 11 successful branches. Karen is currently a franchisor, trainer, coach and mentor and trains business owners to develop successful and profitable sales and lettings agencies.
Karen’s talk highlighted profitable opportunities in the world of Letting Agencies – to build both income and a valuable saleable asset.
Karen revealed the system she and Concentric founder Sally Lawson have developed, based on the 5 key things you need to set up a successful and highly profitable letting agency, saleable for approx £1.5m, in just 5 years.

- How to trade in niche markets
- How to build multiple layers of income
- How to develop a high performing team
- How to build a support network
Karen went into her Client Winning Formula in more detail, including authority positioning and her Expert Elevation Plan and her use of blogging and social media to attract clients withe zero advertising budget.
She also highlighted the importance of systems, as well as understanding all the detail, legal knowledge and complexity – all key areas to maximise efficiency and profits.
Karen is an excellent speaker and her presentation was much appreciated by the audience.
